K Computer News
On April 4, the CMSI Kobe Branch opened at the Advanced Institute for Computational Science (AICS), home of the "K Computer," the next-generation supercomputer. The Center immediately became a gathering place for CMSI researchers aiming to become world leaders in research through the use of the K Computer. The brand-new facility and environment are now the venue for spirited debates that transcend specialist fields. A get-together was also held on April 6 at the Kobe Kachoen (bird and flower park), located next to AICS. The response clearly shows a desire to deepen exchanges with different fields, and to have such exchanges lead to the creation of innovation. |
